An astounding short film by the team at NYCBallet.
Directed by former NYCB soloist Sean Souzzi with cinematography by Tehillah de Castro, a coming attraction commercial for Firebird, stuns. With original Balanchine-comissioned set designs by Marc Chagall from 1945, the film simultaneously pays homage to Sergei Parajanov’s 1969 film The Color of Pomegranates.
