I like to take pictures of my Garden, the vegetable garden. It’s a square of land, about ten meters by four, hidden at the back of the house.
My father takes care of it, of the vegetable garden. Since always. Me, I just went there to pick salad, tomatoes, or herbs when I needed them.
I rarely watered it. Mostly I observed it. I looked at it. I photographed it, season after season. Year after year. I no longer live there. I moved, I got married, I became a father. I have photographed many vegetable gardens and gardens, others.
When they were thriving and when they were no longer. I like it, I couldn’t say it differently. I need it. Like now, for example, that it’s summer and the plants are growing. And there’s an air of peace.
